Simple Pleasures are Life's Treasures

This year for Christmas I made a photo calendar for the kids and each month one of the grandchildren get a "grandpa & grandma day" which is a sleepover. It has been fun for us to have time with each of them alone.

Parker

Parker is 3 years old. He likes to put puzzles together all by himself. He loves princesses, his favorite color is purple, he is always happy but when he is tired we know it. He likes disney movies, he can do anything his brother and sister can do, he is very athletic and coordinated.

Anna Rae

Anna likes to do crafts, bake goodies, eat candy and sleep in Tara's old bedroom. She is full of love and smiles. Her favorite color is purple. She is 6 years old.

Cody

I have learned Cody likes to go to eat at a restaurant where the people serve you and go on hikes. He likes to sleep on the floor in our bedroom and watch videos into the late hours. He is a very friendly guy. He is 8 years old. His favorite color is green, he likes maps and books and he likes to watch documentaries.

After I tripped on one of our hikes I thought I better see if Cody knew what to do in case of an emergency so I asked him "what would you do if grandma fell and couldn't get up" and he said, "grandma, let me carry your cell phone."

My New Job

Along with everything else going on this year, I started a new job as secretary at Hannah Holbrook Elementary. As you can see by the shirt we are celebrating the school being 50 years old this year. Some of the teachers attended the school when the mascot was known as the Holbrook Hooters but was later changed to the Holbrook Huskies. Gee I could have been a Hooter!
